NEW YEAR'S RESOLUTIONS

As we approach the end of the year, it's time to look back and reflect on all of the positives that were celebrated throughout it.  We can use the past year as a learning experience, and banish all of the negatives from our lives; this includes our bad habits. Instead we can set new goals, in which we hope to achieve in the new year. Do you already have your New Year's resolutions? Take a look at ours!

Many - if not all of us - will begin this year 2018 with good intentions and optimism. We will propose goals among which will include leaving bad habits behind, becoming better people, attracting more positive vibes from our surroundings and, in general, exceeding 2017. For this, we will make New Year's promises. At GoCustomized we have decided on the following:

1. Set realistic goals

So our first resolution of the year is going to be: set realistic goals. We are not Marie Curie or Steve Jobs, all we want is to make progress and improve in some things. All goals should be able to be measured, after all, it is important to measure progress. You can "customise" your goals to best suit your lifestyle. Setting goals should be done effectively, and must be achievable, so that they aren't just disregarded as impossible.

2. Accept criticism in order to improve

We do not always accept criticism and sometimes we take it as an attack. It depends on the criticism, of course, but think of criticism as that objective view of yourself, and take full advantage of it to improve. Positive criticism, like all of the free things in life, is more than welcome.

3. Rate what you have

Did you know that happiness is mostly found in life's little things? However, that is not to say that it can't also be found in life's bigger things, on a large yacht, for example. It is often the moments in life that provide you with the most happiness, such as, waiting for the new Ferrari or iPhone. Although it's not just life's moments that should be cherished; instead you should look to the people that you have around you to make you smile and help you enjoy daily life.

4. Goodbye, toxic people

Waving goodbye to all of the negative people in your life is very important, if you want your happiness to improve. Identify the people that inflict negativity on your life, and try and say goodbye to them. Afterwards, you can focus more on those that you envy, and try to live life more in their footsteps.

5. Take a break

Well, if you can afford a vacation in the Caribbean disconnecting yourself completely from reality, we are not going to be the ones who tell you not to. Although, of course, a vacation would be nice, we suggest taking a break every day. Allow yourself 5 minutes to disconnect from your problems, maybe give conscious breathing and relaxation exercises a go. It may help you to begin minimising any stress levels you may have.
